Page 75 - Tai Chi Manual by 董英傑 Experience

Page 75.

1. Tai Chi Fist is a Inner (Internal) fist. Strength comes from BONES. Power comes from Tendon. Do not wish for thick skin or thick muscles. Wish for heavy/quiet Chi and strong bones. You will not have pain like swelled muscles (the original text is "tendon")
or ligaments out of alignment. You will not have cramps from jumping (non stop)

Let results come naturally.
With your inherent abilities, you can achieve original kung fu.

2. Practicing Tai Chi has 3 requirements (and arrivals).
Spirit.
Intention/desire,
Form.
If the body posture is correct, then Spirit and Intention has arrived.
Improvement will be quick.
There will be a different "feeling" everyday.
It is best if the student experience and "taste" the feeling.

3. If posture and form are not correct. If the Spirit and intention is not there.
Then it is like a fire cooking an empty frying pan. You will have no results when old.
  With this result,
then instead of training 10 years (poorly) in Tai Chi,
why not train 3 years in external kung fu.

(To learn and practice properly)
Number one requirement is DILIGENCE / practice frequently, daily.
Number two is understand.

How the results will be , will depend on how smart you are, but
diligence /frequent practice will supplement (to make up for)the lack of brain (wisdom).

Pay attention to this warning / advice (above).

4. When practicing, breathe.
Breathe naturally.
Do not force deep breathes.
When your form/posture is pure and ripe, natural breathing patterns is here.

Other wise, there is only harm and no benefits.

5. Tai Chi 13 勢 postures.
This was for the directing/ guiding
Chi and blood flow.
When practice is ripe, Blood and chi will flow properly, and all illness will be removed.
Do not be smart (be a smart ass),
and put your tongue on the "roof", or put your chi in Tan Tien.

When kung fu is ripe (when practice is ripe), then naturally chi will go to Tan Tien, and
will flow to all pressure points. This is law of nature. This cannot be forced.

6. Lossen shoulders and hang/droop elbows. Strength cannot concentrate in back of shoulder.
Make the strength move to a spot in front of elbow (forearm ?)
This skill is accomplished by intention but cannot be taught.
Student must experience and taste it.
Cannot practice too slow, cannot be sluggish. Then it is difficult to experience the lightness spirit.

7. Head held upright, Chi from buttocks move up. When Power returns the chest must be empty. When using power, head held upright, Do not have a sucken(hallow) chest and a "camel's back".

8. For each practice, perform 3 rounds.
The first round opens the tendon "river".
In the 2nd round, correct the posture.
The 3rd, add the intention.

When ripe, the intention will appear in the first round.
Then your improvement will accelerate quicker.

12. As a beginner, the entire body should feel slight pain. This is the time strength is being changed. Don't be afraid, and don't despair.

After half a month, you will feel quickness in waist, and legs. Spirit is full, and chi is full.
